MKE Home | Birch & Butcher
Hi loves! This weekend was filled with lots of fun and exciting things, including the one day Wantable warehouse sale and lots and lots of deals! If you have seen my recent instagram stories, you know exactly what I'm talking about! I literally got $1500 worth of items for $50! (seriously crazy!)
Anyways, between all of the shopping madness, my friend Sam and I went to go check out Birch & Butcher, located right on Water Street downtown Milwaukee! This place is one of the cutest restaurant/cafes in the city and I've known about them since they opened, but I finally got around to trying them out and wanted to share my experience with you guys!
First of all - look at this interior! Seriously so gorgeous! The open concept and modern design of this place is so dreamy.
The entrance is like a cafe counter, so you can just order at the counter and they will bring your food to you. This is how they serve breakfast/lunch until 2pm when the full menu is out and it is more of a sit down restaurant. It is definitely nice if you want to swing by for a coffee (which was SO good by the way) or quick breakfast sandwich, especially since there are so many condos/apartments surrounding the location, but I would have preferred a more sit down menu all day since the cafe options were limited.
I ordered a turkey sandwich and Sam got a breakfast sandwich!
As I mentioned, their coffee is SO good! I got an iced vanilla latte, per usual. But I wasn't a huge fan of the sandwich. It was good, don't get me wrong, and it wasn't just a basic turkey sandwich (topped with Goat Riccota, Apricot Preserves, Arugula) but it was just a lot of different flavors in one and I think I may have been in the mood for something else.
Overall, we had a great experience and loved the atmosphere, but I would definitely like to come back during their regular restaurant hours so that we could see the full menu and have a more sit-down experience. Just another excuse to go on a dinner date!
I would love to hear if any of you have gone and what you thought! If you have any questions, feel free to send a message or leave a comment down below.
As always, thank you so much for reading and be sure to subscribe to keep up!
