5 Quarantine Self Care Ideas

Hi Loves!

I hope you are all doing well and staying safe during quarantine. I know many of us are feeling anxious or stressed, whether that's financial, trying to navigate through finals week, or any other reason. The most important thing to do in times of stress is to make sure you are taking care of yourself and doing whatever you can to bring a sense of peace into your life. I wanted to share a few of my favorite self care tips to help you do just that!

1. Take a Bubble Bath

Okay, so this is probably a given! I feel like most of us gals resort to this method of comfort during any time of stress, but seriously it is one of the best ways to relax! Put on a face mask, grab some tea or wine, light some candles, drop in your favorite bath bomb and voila! Instant relaxation!

2. Try a Craft/Art Project

This is one of my favorite ways to de-stress. If you tend to be a perfectionist, sometimes making art can be more stressful than fun (I can relate haha), but if you're creating just for the sake of relaxing, I promise it's worth it! Let loose and grab some paint, do your favorite Pinterest DIY project, tie dye some sweats, anything! You may even find a new hobby out of it!

3. Re-Decorate

I am a huge believer in creating a space that brings you happiness, especially with all of us being trapped inside. Try re-arranging your space, printing out some photos to hang, buying some new furniture, anything to make your space something that brings you joy.

4. Exercise/Take a Walk

If you know me personally, you're probably thinking Lindsey you don't exercise??? Haha! And that's true - I'm definitely not a hit the gym and take a run kinda gal, even as much as I wish I was (one day). But I do love a good yoga sesh or morning walk! Especially during quarantine, Josh and I have been taking a long walk every day and it has been so refreshing! It feels so good to get out of the house, breathe some fresh air, and just move my body - plus your fur-baby will be just as happy!

5. Get Glammed Up

I'm sure we can all relate that we're feeling a little unruly lately with our grown out roots and nails, daily groutfit, and going way too long between hair washes. Being comfy is great, but after 2 months straight of looking like a hobo, I'm over it! At this point going to the grocery store is an event and I'll take any excuse to put on real pants. There's something so refreshing about getting glammed up and feeling good! Even if you feel like there's no point, I promise it will help you feel so much better! Put on some makeup, your favorite outfit, do your hair and take some selfies!

I hope you find some time to try any of these tips and de-stress a bit! I would love to hear any of your favorite self-care tips or if you were inspired to try any of these methods!

Thanks for reading! :)
